Amanda "Mandi" Jo Tarbert

   Amanda Jo “Mandi” Tarbert, age 37, of Piedmont passed away Saturday, January 16, 2016 in UPMC Montifiore Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA after a lengthy illness.

   Born May 8, 1978 in Wheeling, WV she was the daughter of Lana Wright Tarbert of Piedmont and the late Larry E. Tarbert. Mandi graduated from Lakeland High School in 1996 and played first chair baritone in their state ranked marching band. A member of the Blue Ribbon General 4-H Club, she showed lambs at the Harrison County Fair. She had worked for Freeport Press, Cadiz Country Club and Harrison Community Hospital in Cadiz. Mandi enjoyed drawing and painting but what she loved was cooking.

   Surviving in addition to her mother are a brother, Jeff (Kathy) Tarbert of Fairborn, a sister Sheila (Pete) Koch of Scio; nieces Danielle and Hanna Tarbert of Fairborn, Alanna Koch (fiancée Kyle Nannah) of Minerva and Ashley and Erica Koch of Scio; an aunt Linda (Darrell) Stamper of Monroe, MI; uncles Gary (Teresa) Tarbert of Piedmont and George Hamilton of Caldwell and several cousins.

   In addition to her father she was preceded in death by an aunt Beverly Hamilton, and an uncle Dean Tarbert.

   Services will be held Thursday, January 21, 2016 at 11 am in Koch Funeral Scio with Pastor Dave Koch officiating. Friends may call Wednesday from 4-8 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Moorefield VFD EMS, PO Box 14, Piedmont, OH 43983.
