Harold R. Fulton, age 82, of Scio, passed away Friday, August 26, 2016 at Heather Knoll Retirement Center, Tallmadge, surrounded by his loving family.
Born December 19, 1933 in Milan he was a son of the late Ralph M. Fulton and Edith May Thayer Fulton. Harold graduated from Townsend High School, Collins, OH. He was the head custodian at Aurora High School and was a Mounted Patrol Officer with the Portage County Sheriff Office with his horse “Joker” for almost 15 years. An animal lover all of his life, Harold purchase a dairy farm near Conotton in the late 1980’s. He and his wife, Esther, lovingly named it Loriland Farm.
Harold was preceded in death by his wife Esther Hughes Fulton, an infant daughter Merrie Rose Fulton and a brother Howard Fulton.
Surviving are daughters Janis (William) Perkins of Stow, Jane (Robert) Gregg of Munroe Falls and Keri (Thomas) Ellson of Ontario, Canada; a brother James Richard Fulton of Norwalk; grandchildren Allison, Damon, Shane, Travis, Benjamin, Amie, Jonah, Amanda and Elizabeth and thirteen great grandchildren.
Services will be held Wednesday at noon in Koch Funeral Home, Scio. Burial will follow in Conotton Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 3-7 and Wednesday one hour prior to the service from 11 am to 12 pm.
