James K. "Dog" Hennis, age 47, of Cadiz died Friday, October 24, 2014 in Weirton Medical Center following a brief illness.
Born July 23, 1967 in Dennison he was a son of James W. Hennis of Jewett and Marie Lucas Coffey of Cadiz. James was a handyman who was always willing to help his friends and neighbors and was a member of the Nazarene Church in Cadiz. He enjoyed collecting matchbox cars and playing cards with light of his life, his daughter, Leahona M. Hennis.
Surviving in addition to his parents and daughter are sisters Helen Zantene (companion Jason Nipper) of Scio and Leah Hennis of Jewett and a brother Howard Hennis of Jewett.
He was preceded in death by his brother Art Hennis.
A memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 11 am in Koch Funeral Home, Scio with Rev. Ernest Cramer officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Koch Funeral Home, PO Box 193, Scio 43988 to help the family with final expenses.
