   Jessica Marie Mahoney Palmer, 35, of Elgin, OK went home to heaven to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 after a battle with colon cancer.
   Jessica was born November 24, 1980 in Aultman Hospital, Canton, OH and grew up in Scio, OH. She was a graduate of Jewett-Scio High School, Class of 1999. She was a member of the Scio Biddy Cheerleading Squad and later a cheerleader for the Jewett Scio High School Squad. She was a member of Jewett Scio Marching Band where she played trumpet and was a member of the Majorette Squad. Jessica was an early member of 4-H, Girl Scouts and also participated in many beauty pageants where she won numerous titles. Jessica was the Scio 4th of July Baby Queen in 1981 and held the current Wee Miss Harrison County Title. She was also a Scio Fall Festival Queen along with her grandmother Alicia Basham as Granny Queen in the early 1990’s Jessica and her husband David B. Palmer were members of the Ruff Ryders Motorcycle group in Fort Riley, KS and initiated the Furthest North Chapter in Alaska where they had conducted many benefits for charity.
   Jessica attended the Buckeye Adult Education Center in New Philadelphia, Ohio where she received a certificate for Phlebotomy and furthered her education at the American Medical Association in Fairbanks, Alaska receiving a certificate as a Lab Technician and Technologist. Jessica was currentlyworking at Comanche Memorial Hospital in Lawton, Oklahoma.
   Jessica was preceded in death by her grandparents Teddy and Alicia Costantini Basham of Scio, OH, John J. Mahoney and Kathleen J. Healy Mahoney of White Plains, New York, her father John J. Mahoney Jr of Scio, Ohio and daughter Arianna Elizabeth Palmer.
   Jessica is survived by her husband SSG David B. Palmer of Carrollton, OH who is currently stationed at Fort Sill, Oklahoma with the U.S. Army whom she married July 5, 2008, her son Cole A. Palmer, step son Jacob W. Palmer of Brunswick, OH, her mother Anna Basham Mahoney of Scio, OH,mother in-law Kathy A. Palmer of Carrollton, OH, father in-law George Ray Palmer Jr of Bowerston, OH, brothers Jeremy Basham of Pittsburgh, PA, Jeff Mahoney of Maine, OH and Rob Mahoney of Richmond, OH, sister Aloni Mahoney of Richmond, OH, brothers-in-law George Ray Palmer III of Carrollton, OH and David McFarland of Carrollton, OH, sisters-in-law Lynette Palmer of Bowerston, OH, Leslie Palmer and Lorie Palmer of Cleveland, OH, aunts and uncles consist of Rolland and Bernie Basham of Daytona, FL, Bill and Judy Basham of Altus, OK, Marcia and Larry Manbeck of New Athens, OH, Thad and Mary Basham of Newcomerstown, OH. and Ralph and Polly Basham of Scio, OH. cousins consist of Karen and Bob Heim of Ringtown, PA. Stacy Gibbs of Ormond Beach, FL. Eric and Robin Basham of Port Republic, MD, Louri and Tommy Ott of New Athens, OH, Desiree and Dave Bender of New Athens, OH, Samantha and Joey Borland of Newcomerstown, OH, Trent Basham of Pittsburgh, PA. Danielle (Cory) Allen, Nathan Basham of Abilene, TX. Maggie Basham of Pittsburgh, PA and Katie and Dylan Day of Altus, OK, three nieces Grace Basham of Hubbard, OH and Ellis and Erin Mahoney of Loveland, OH. She also had two dogs Lilly and Neiko along with three ferrets Phatty, Spaz and Bear.
   Friends and family members will be accepted for visitation on Tuesday, April 26th from 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm at Koch Funeral Home, Scio. Services will be held Wednesday, April 27th at 11 am at the funeral home with Father John McCoy officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Scio. Singing will be conducted by Laura Petershime. In appreciation for the compassionate care from nurses Rachel Hollen and Kathy Graham and the staff at Promise Care Hospice, the family would like memorial contributions made to them at 4202 SW Lee Blvd., Lawton, OK 73505
