Nedra E. Bailey, 77, of Jewett died Sunday, April 24, 2016 at Trinity West Medical Center, Steubenville.
Born May 25, 1938 in Jewett she was a daughter of the late Frank and Nancy Dennis Bailey. She was preceded in death by a sister, Almeda “Meda” Bailey Harmon. Surviving are a sister Shirley Tullis of Jewett and five nieces and two nephews.
Nedra graduated from Jewett High School in 1956 and moved to Columbus where she worked for the Metropolitan Housing Authority and retired after 25 years of service. After retiring she worked for Kroger’s for 14 years. She moved back to Jewett and was an active member of the Jewett United Methodist Church until her health declined and she entered Sienna Woods Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in Wintersville.
Services will be held Thursday at 2 pm in Koch Funeral Home, Scio with Pastor Hester Hudson officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Jewett. Friends may call Thursday two hours prior to the service form 12-2 pm. While residing in Columbus Nedra became a huge Ohio State Buckeye’s fan and to honor her memory the family asks those attending her service to wear their favorite Ohio State attire.
