Rhoda M. Whyte, age 96, of Scio, formerly of Columbus, died Friday June 5, 2015.in Country Club Retirement Center, Dover. Born December 21, 1918 in Plain City, Ohio she was a daughter of the late Edward and Gladys Rings Edwards.
Rhoda had the ability to fulfill many roles during her lifetime, but none more important to her than those of a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She will be missed.
Surviving are her sister Fernzella Jenkins of Orient, Ohio, a daughter Charlotte Roehrenbeck and husband Thomas of Cape Coral, Florida, a son John Whyte of Carrollton, a daughter-in-law Kay Whyte of Mt. Vernon, seven grandchildren and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Preceding Rhoda in death is her husband Clarence E. Whyte and a son Edward Whyte.
Services will be held Monday June 8, 2015 at 11:30 am in St. Joseph’s Cemetery Chapel, 6440 S High St., Lockbourne (Columbus), Ohio with visitation from 11- 11:30 am prior to the service at the chapel and Sunday from 5-7 pm at Koch Funeral Home, Scio.
