Jeffrey David "Jeff" Myer

   Jeffrey David “Jeff” Myer, Sr, age 55, of Bowerston, passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2019.  Born January 14, 1964 in Dennison he was a son of Remah (Floyd) Burdette of Scio and the late Robert D. Myer. In 1982 he graduated from Jewett-Scio High School and Harrison Career Center where he studied diesel mechanics.

   After graduation Jeff honorably served his country in the US Army. He was an OTR semi-truck driver who had the opportunity to see every state in the continental U.S. He drove for numerous companies over his career but most recently he drove for Dandy in Warrendale, PA. Jeff was a member of the Scio Sportsman’s Club and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan that enjoyed attending classic rock music concerts, sharing stories and playing video games with his kids.

   Surviving in addition to his mother and step father is his wife Mandy Foster Myer, whom he married December 7, 2010; children Jeffrey Myer, Jr of Bowerston, Jena Riley of Sherrodsville, Amber Dulkoski of Scio, Crystal Mills of Indiana and Brad Foster, Kim Race, Kyle Race-Myer and Justin Myer all of Flushing; granddaughters Macie and Miley Myer, a brother Gary (Sarah) Myer, a niece and a nephew Samantha and Robert Myer all of Scio and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

   Along with his father he is preceded in death by his son Joshua A. Myer on Dec 28, 2013 and his grandparents.

   Services will be held Saturday at 1 pm in Koch Funeral Home, Scio with Pastor Dixie Hendricks officiating. Burial will follow in Hanover Methodist Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 5-8 pm and Saturday from 12-1 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
