Delores Kay "Toots Jones Obituary

   Delores Kay Hauber “Toots” Jones, 76, of Jewett passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at Trinity Medical Center West and entered eternal peace in Heaven.

   She was born January 14, 1944, the daughter of the late Clarence and Elsie Snyder Hauber, In addition to  her parents, a brother, Larry Hauber, preceded her in death.

   Toots was a graduate of Jewett High School and soon after clerked for the former J.A. McKees Store, she worked at the Jewett Restaurant and for many years she was a secretary for both Harrison Hills Schools and the Belmont Career Center.

   She was a compassionate person, caring for the sick and elderly, driving them to their appointments and often staying with them overnight as they convalesced.

   She was an avid reader, who always had a book in her hands. She also enjoyed her Card Club and was particularly good at making Hungarian recipes.

   Toots is survived, and will be greatly missed, by her son, Dave (Lisa) Jones of Manhattan Beach, California, grandchildren Brandon, Nikki, Wil, Taylor and Kira, siblings Gay Hauber Bossetti, Lewis Hauber (Sue), Jim Hauber (Becky), Connie Hauber (Roy), many nieces and nephews and many, many friends who already feel the void her passing has left behind.

   The family requests memorial contributions are made to the Harrison County Cancer Crusaders, c/o Julie McPeak, 226 Charleston St, Cadiz, Ohio 43907. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Koch Funeral Home, Scio has been entrusted with her arrangements.
