Dorothy M (Renicker) Craig Custer

Dorothy M. Renicker Craig Custer, age 97, formerly of Scio, passed away Saturday, January 28, 2023 at The Inn at Whitewood Village, North Canton.

   Born June 20, 1925 in Dellroy she was a daughter of the late Clarence Renicker and Marie Renicker Copeland. Dorothy worked for The Scio Pottery for many years, starting in the plant and worked her way up the office clerical staff.

   Dorothy was a devoted member of the Scio United Methodist Church and also belonged to the Scio Civic Club. She enjoyed crocheting, especially making afghans, and spending time with her family.

   Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Duane Craig. She married Grant A Custer on November 8, 1986 and after 22 years of marriage he passed away October 23, 2009. She was also preceded in death by a son Don Craig and a step daughter Linda Palmer.

   Surviving are a daughter Debbie Elliott of Canton; step son Gary (Becky) Custer of CA, grandchildren Drew, Derek, David, Clay and Jaime and six great grandchildren.

   Services will be held Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at 12 pm in Koch Funeral Home, Scio with Pastor Greg Bush officiating. Burial will be in Conotton Cemetery.
