Edward (Eddie) D. Albright (57), died in his home in Chillicothe, Ohio (formerly Scio, Ohio) on September 2, 2021. Ed graduated from Jewett-Scio High School in 1983 where he was a member of both the football and wrestling teams. Upon graduation, Ed enlisted in the United States Air Force. He spent 20 years serving as an Aerospace Ground Equipment mechanic, where he received the Air Force Distinguished Service medal which is presented to airmen and guardians to recognize distinguished and exceptionally meritorious service to the United States while serving in a duty or position of great responsibility. His life passion was Harley Davidson motorcycles. He spent countless hours building/creating his own custom bikes, and maintaining many of his closest friend’s bikes throughout the years. He also served as a mechanic for multiple custom bike shops in and around the Goose Creek/Charleston, SC area. He loved riding, working on his cars and spending time drag racing with his father, Marion and 2 brothers.
Eddie is proceeded in death by both parents, Dorothy (Dottie) Albright (nee. Greer) and Marion Albright, along with both maternal and paternal grandparents.
Surviving are his two brothers, Todd Albright, of Scio, and Matthew (Angela) Albright, of North Royalton, OH, and his niece, Caitlin and nephew, Carson, along with many aunts, uncles and cousins. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to The Gary Sinese Foundation, Scio American Legion Post 482 , or National Alliance for Research on Schizophrenia & Depression.
Services will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday, September 8th in Koch Funeral Home , Scio. Family will receive friends from 11:00-1:00 prior to the service at the funeral home.
