John E. Kish, age 88, of Hopedale passed away Wednesday February 26, 2020 at Weirton Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Jefferson County, Ohio on May 14, 1931 he was a son of the late Andrew Kish, Sr and Hazel Bickerstaff Kish. He worked for over 30 years at Weirton Steel and lovingly made wood crafts for his daughter Jeani at Gingerbread-n-Bow’s in Scio.
John was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years Jerri Toker Kish on August 6, 2015, they married on September 13, 1954. Also preceding him in death are a half sister Virginia Lash and brothers Andrew, Paul, Joseph, Robert and Robert’s infant twin brother Thomas.
Surviving are daughters Jeani (Denny) Cagot of Hopedale and Janet (Dennis) Hirschbach of Jewett, a brother Mike Kish of Orlando , FL, grandchildren Gary (Melanie) Coleman, Steven Coleman, Darcy (Joe)
Espenschied and Bryan (Patrice) Hirschbach, nine great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Services will be held Tuesday, March 3rd at 11 am in Koch Funeral Home, Scio with Lay Pastor Dorman Mader officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Colerain. Friends may call Monday from 4-7 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the donors choice.
