Joy Frances Adams, age 83, of Jewett passed away suddenly, Monday, November 21, 2022 at Harrison Community Hospital, Cadiz.
Born June 28, 1939 in Cincinnati she was a daughter of the late Melba Shannon. She was a bookkeeper all of her life. Joy was a member of the New Rumley Global Methodist Church. She enjoyed bird watching and fishing on Leesville Lake where she currently holds the record for one of the largest Muskees caught by a women on the lake, 46 ½ inches.
Surviving are her husband James Adams, whom she married May 18, 1974, children Steven Brock, Julie Hidey, Mark “Andy” Brock, Jennifer Anderies and Daniel Adams, seven grandchildren and eagerly anticipating the arrival of the 8th grandchild in January and eight great grandchildren.
In addition to her mother, Joy was preceded in death by a grandson Shawn Brock.
Honoring Joy’s wishes a graveside service will be held Monday, November 28, 2022 at 11 am in Fairview Cemetery, Jewett with Pastor David Lee officiating. Koch Funeral Home, Scio has been entrusted with her arrangements.
