Mary Alice (Mansfield) McGary

   Mary Alice Mansfield McGary, age 89, of Perrysville passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2022 in Aultman Hospital, Canton surrounded by her loving family.

   Born April 22, 1933 she was a daughter of the late Finley Mansfield and Debbie Porter Mansfield. She retired from The Scio Pottery after many years working on the handle bench. She loved her Facebook, where she stayed connected with all of her family and friends.

   In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving first husband James McGary; second husband Leroy McGary; sons Bill and Leroy Dean McGary II; sisters Peggy Devoid, Grace Thomas and Helen Blake and brothers Lewis, Charles and Lee Mansfield.

   Surviving are five children Bonnie Lewis of Kentucky, James McGary of Carrollton, Brenda (John) Saffell of Carrollton, Ron McGary of Georgia and John McGary of Scio, a brother Robert Mansfield, as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

   Services will be held Friday, October 7, 2022 at 2 pm in Koch Funeral Home, Scio with Pastor Tom Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in Longview Cemetery, New Athens. Friends may call Thursday October 6th from 6-8 pm and Friday October 7th prior to the service from noon to 2 pm.
