Barbara J. Scaggs Entler, age 84, formerly of Portsmouth, passed away November 4, 2024, at her daughter's home in Scio where she had been residing.

Born July 20, 1940, in Portsmouth, she was a daughter of the late William Scaggs and Mildred Brown Scaggs. She worked at Weiss Noodle Co. for around 5 years but the job she loved most was being a wife and mother. She enjoyed reading mystery books and watching The Jewelry Channel.

She married James D. "Jim" Entler, Sr on September 8, 1956, he passed away June 22, 2019. She was also preceded in death by sons James Entler, Jr and Timothy Lee Entler, an infant grandson Michael Drew Bower, a brother Junior Brown and sisters Betty Jones and Reba Bibey.

Surviving are daughters Debbie (Wesley) Lunsford of Scio and Tammy Clay of Kent, grandchildren Brittany Garner, Adam Garner, Wesley Lunsford, Jr, Kristen Sandor, Timothy Entler, Jr "TJ", and James "Jimmy" Entler and great grandchildren Alyssa Entler, Trevin Sandor and Joclyn Sandor.

In keeping with her wishes, she has been cremated and there will be no services. Koch Funeral Home in Scio has been entrusted with her arrangements.
