Bertha "Jinx" Regina Burkhart Smith, age 85, of Canton passed away, Sunday, June 15, 2025, at New Dawn Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Dover.

Born April 16, 1940, in Belmont County, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Raymond George Burkhart and Virginia Susan Hall Burkhart. Jinks honorably served her country in the Army WAC and was a loving homemaker to her family.

Surviving is her husband Jeff Boyd Smith whom she married October 27, 1964, sons Dana (Bodhi) Smith and Lonnie Smith, granddaughter Hope Cushman and nieces she considered as sisters Becky Burkhart, Susan Mitchell and Bailey Mitchell.

She was preceded in death by siblings Earl "Baldy" Burkhart, Bill Burkhart and Audrey Kelly.

Private services will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Jewett. Koch Funeral Home, Scio has been entrusted with her arrangements.
