IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Charles D
Beatty
June 6, 1947 – July 22, 2024
Rev. Charles "Chuck/Danny" Daniel Beatty II went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 22, 2024, in Columbus, Ohio. Chuck was born on June 6, 1947, in Dennison, Ohio to Charles Daniel and Nora (Burns) Beatty.
Charles graduated from Jewett High school in 1966 and subsequently enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in June 1966 and served as an aircraft electrician in Vietnam during the war. After he returned home, he accepted the Lord's call to preach God's Word and graduated from Seminary. He pastored at Methodist churches in the Steubenville Conference Charge areas. He worked as an electrician for General Electric. Chuck also worked as a Heavy Equipment operator in the above and underground coal mining and home building industries. He worked for several companies including Miller Pipeline, R&F Coal, Ruby Haulage, and Console Energy. At work, many called him by his nickname "Preach" because he enjoyed sharing the love of Jesus and witnessing to anyone he met. It was common for Chuck to ask, "Do you know Jesus?" Chuck finished his working years as a custodian at Licking Heights Middle School and retired in 2010. Chuck was an avid OSU Buckeye and Cleveland Indians fan, and he loved fishing on his boat.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Candice "Candy" Madala.
Chuck is survived by his wife of 53 years, Klara (Smitley) Beatty, his daughter, Brigette (Beatty) Rose and Keith Rose, of Glenford, Ohio; son Daniel Beatty and Amanda Reed of Midway, Ohio, and daughter Chrissie (Beatty) Gerber of Little River, South Carolina. Chuck is also survived by his nephew, Dustin and Kristi Madala of Spartanburg, South Carolina. Chuck loved his five grandchildren, Danielle, Austin, Morghan, Brian, and Kylie. They brought him tremendous joy and laughter throughout his life.
