Charles H. Kuhns, Sr.

Charles H. "Charlie" Kuhns, Sr. age 74 passed away suddenly Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at his home near Scio, Ohio. Born June 12, 1947 in Washington Co, Pennsylvania he was a son of the late Robert "Bob" Kuhns and Nancy Bedell Kuhns.

Charlie was born into a family of gifted musicians who taught him how to play guitar. Together they shared their love of blue grass and gospel music. He was a member of the Apostolic House of Glory in Columbia Station, where his brother is the pastor.

Surviving is his wife of 20 years Karen L. Slauter Kuhns; a daughter Candice "Candy" Kuhns of Scio; sons Charles "Charlie" Kuhns, Jr. of Scio and Clint Kuhns of Washington, PA; stepchildren Lena Parker of Scio and Wayne Slauter of KY; step grandchildren Zack and Haley Parker and Angel and Owen Slauter; siblings Rev. Richard Kuhns of Columbia Station, Nancy Starcher and Layne Kuhns both of Elyria and Jim Kuhns of WV and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceding him in death are a stepson Kevin Slauter and a brother Butch Kuhns.

Keeping with Charlie's wishes he has been cremated and a memorial service will be held July 13, 2022 at his residence 8233 Scio Rd (St Rt 332), Scio, Ohio  Koch Funeral Home in Scio has been entrusted with his arrangements.
