Charles Demetrovic, age 90, of New Rumley passed away Monday, May 25, 2015 in Indianapolis, Indiana after working at the Indianapolis 500 Speedway. For over 60 years Charles was able to live his dream of being involved in one of the greatest traditions in racing.

Born January 22, 1925 in Jewett he was the only child of the late Adam and Bessie Burrier Demetrovic. Charles worked for many years in gas line construction and was a member of the International Laborer's Union Local of Canton.  He was a WWII veteran with the Navy Submarine Fleet and a member of the Veterans of Foreign War. Charles also enjoyed repairing small engines and attended many area small engine shows.

A lifelong bachelor, he is survived by several cousins and a special companion Eleanor Levi of Celina, Ohio.

Private services will be held at the family's convenience. Koch Funeral Home, Scio has been entrusted with his services.
