David Thomas Meechan, age 63, passed away suddenly Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at his home in Conotton.

Born July 21, 1957 in Dover he was a son of the late John W. Meechan and Isabelle Lauhmers Meechan. He graduated from Dover High School in 1976 and worked for Stone Container for 22 years.

David was a member of the Sherrodsville Wesleyan Church and was an accomplished musician. He played guitar in rock and country bands earlier in his life and more recently enjoyed sharing his talent at his church. He was an avid fisherman and had enjoyed riding 4-wheelers.

Surviving are his wife Dianna Strausbaugh Meechan whom he married September 12, 1981; children Petty Officer Jesse David Meechan of San Diego Naval abase and Allison Meechan of Dover; two granddaughters; brothers James of Dover, Eugene of Columbus area, Tim of Dover and Bill of New Philadelphia and a brother-in-law Bob Strausbaugh of Dover.

A memorial service is being planned for a later date. Koch Funeral Home has been entrusted with his arrangements.
