David R. Nation, Sr, age 69, formerly of Scio and Newcomerstown, passed away Saturday, September 14, 2019 in Rose Lane Nursing and Rehabilitation, Jackson Twp.

Born August 1, 1950 in Martins Ferry he was a son of the late Harry Nation and Gladys Fowler Nation Brodzinski. David honorably served his country in the Marines during the Vietnam War and had worked at the Scio Pottery Co.  He was a longtime member of the Scio American Legion Post 482 and was a member of the New Philadelphia VFW Post 1445.

David was preceded in death by his wife Marion Lee Nation on August 12, 2012, they were married on July 12, 1980.

In keeping with his wishes he will be cremated with no services. Koch Funeral Home, Scio has been entrusted with his arrangements.
