Dawn Denise Martin, age 58, of Uhrichsville tragically passed away Sunday October 4, 2026, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born April 8, 1968, in Steubenville she was the daughter of Wanda Morgan Fluharty of Missouri and the late Louis Stern.

A 1986 graduate of Jewett-Scio High School. Dawn was a homemaker, who also owned and operated Whipperwill Ridge Farm, caring for all the animals she loved.

She was a founding member of the former Country Crafts from the Heart store in the Fort Steuben Mall. Dawn enjoyed making and decorating wooden crafts that she took to area craft fairs and festivals.

Surviving is her husband John Edward Martin, a son John Edward Martin Jr, siblings Louis James Stern, Daisy Stern, Isiah Stern, and Aaliyah Stern. She was proceeded in death by stepfather Raymond Fluharty and daughter-in-law Latasha Martin, who sadly passed with her in the accident.

Combined services will be held for Dawn and Latasha Martin on Friday October 9, 2026, at 1PM at Koch Funeral Home, 101 W. Main St. Scio with Pastor Mike Cunningham officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Jewett. Friends may call two hours prior to service from 11AM-1PM at the funeral home.
