Eileen Carol Schrader Newbrough, age 87, of Jewett, went home to be with the lord Wednesday September 2, 2026. Born August 15, 1939, in Lumberport, WV she was the daughter of the late Virgil Archie Schrader and Nola Pearl McCarty Schrader. She was a devoted Christian and a member of the Jewett Methodist Church. Her love for the Lord was reflected in every prayer she offered and every hymn she sang. She worked as a home health aid for many years but the job she loved the most was being a home maker and caring for her family.
She was proceeded in death by her husband Raymond Edward Newbrough December 20, 2025, they were married June 15, 1957. Also proceeding her in death are son and daughter-in-law Ed and Robin Newbrough, granddaughter Julie Newbrough, son-in- law Flip Best, brother Bill Schrader Sr., sisters Mary Anna Chrisman, June Howe and Shirley Stire.
She was such a blessing to her family and will be sadly missed by her children Sue (Rick) Wright of Jewett, Tam Best of Cadiz, Lisa (Roy) Smith of Cadiz, and Kenny (Rhonda) Newbrough of Jewett, grandchildren Missy (Ray) Everhart, Andy (Kinsey) Wright, Kyle (Zoe) Newbrough, Steve (Janelle) Moreland, Amanda (Joshua) Manbeck, Cody (Courtney) Maffit, Alison Birney( Skip), Ethan Newbrough, Zac (Lindsey) Newbrough, greatgrandchildren Brent (Isabelle), Katie, Mikey, Savannah, Zane, Chrissy, Kendra, Cooper, Jaxon, Bryson, Lorelei, Ryan, Dominic, Paige, Baylee, Serena, Audrina, Everett, and a sister Wilma Howe of Lumberport, WV.
Services will be held Saturday September 5, 2026, at 3 pm in Koch Funeral Home 101 W. Main St. Scio with Pastor Mark Statler officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jewett. Friends may call Saturday two hours prior to the service from 1-3 pm at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions may be made to Jewett Methodist Church, PO Box 377 Jewett, OH 43986
