George E. Anderson, Jr, age 63, of Jewett, passed away suddenly February 9, 2018 in Harrison Community Hospital in Cadiz.

Born October 14, 1954 in Bradford, North Carolina he was a son of the late George E. Anderson, Sr. and Mildred Kemp Anderson. He worked for Republic Steel for 26 retiring in 1999 and then he worked part-time for John Harris Construction.

George loved to hunt and was a member of the Jewett Sportsman's Club for over 35 years. He was an avid Steelers fan and Tony Stewart was his favorite NASCAR driver. But what he enjoyed most was spending time with his family and friends, especially when riding his side-by-side.

Surviving is his wife Theresa Vint Anderson whom he married in July of 1984, a son Paul Anderson of New Rumley, a brother Ronnie Anderson of Indiana, his babysitting buddy Emily and cat Smokey.

In keeping with his wishes there will be a private memorial service held at a later date.


