Harold Clifford Hoobler, age 80, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at his home in Germano. He was the middle son of the late Howard and Goldie Heisler Hoobler born June 6, 1935 in German Twp., Harrison Co. He graduated from Jewett High School in 1953 and retired from Y&O Coal Nelms #2 Mine in Hopedale as the assistant chief electrician after 28 years of service.

Harold was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church near Jewett and enjoyed gardening. He was also a mandolin player and had played in a band with his older brother, Merle. Harold loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife of 62 years Geraldine Wolfe Hoobler; a daughter Brenda; a son Charles (Melinda); ten grandchildren Charles II, Vanessa, Jason, Elizabeth, Megan (fiancé Cody) Dalton, Kyle, Maddison, Austin and Koda; a great granddaughter Carmen; older brother Merle and younger brother Wayne.

Preceding him in death are a son Russell and grandsons Dakota and Alex.

Services will be held Saturday at 4 pm in Bethel United Methodist Church near Jewett with Rev. Mark Statler officiating. Friends may call two hours prior to the service at the church Saturday from 2-4. Koch Funeral Home, Scio has been entrusted with his service.
