Heidi Marteny Miller, age 67, of Bowerston, passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Ohio’s Lifecare Hospice Truman House in New Philadelphia, Ohio.

Born to parents Kenneth P. Marteny and Elvira Steffan Marteny on February 7, 1958, in Kiel, Germany. Her father was stationed in Germany while serving in the Army when she was born and she lived there until she was a teenager. Heidi was proud to have authored the book Blue Ribbon Kids. She enjoyed gardening, and was very creative, making all kinds of crafts in her craft room. She was a wonderful baker who enjoyed making foods she learned to bake in Germany.

Surviving is her husband Charles E. Miller of Scio, children Dee McEuen, Samantha (John) Davidson, Charles M. Miller and D.J. (Robert) McPherson, several grandchildren she dearly loved, but she was extremely close with Elizabeth, Allison and Anthony, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

She was preceded in death by her brothers Perry, Claus and Stephen Marteny.

Honoring her wishes she will be cremated with no services. The family asks that memorial contributions be made to Koch Funeral Home, PO Box 193, Scio, Ohio 43988 to help with her funeral expenses.
