James D."Jim" Entler, Sr, age 82, of Scio, formerly of Jewett and Portsmouth, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born January 28, 1937 in Portsmouth he was a son of the late Ora D Entler and Nellie Canal Entler. Jim honorably served his country in the US Marines and had worked for GM at Lordstown for almost 30 years retiring in 1992. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was blessed to be able share this love of the outdoors to his grandson.

Surviving are his wife Barbara J. Scaggs Entler whom he married September 8, 1956; daughters Debbie (Wesley) Lunsford of Scio and Tammy Clay of Kent, grandchildren Brittany Garner, Adam Garner, Wesley :Lunsord, Jr, Kristen Sandor, Timothy Entler, Jr "TJ", and James "Jimmy" Entler and great grandchildren Alyssa Entler, Trevin Sandor and Joclyn Sandor.

Preceded him in death are sons James Entler, Jr and Timothy Lee Entler and an infant grandson Michael Drew Bower.

In keeping with Jim's wishes there will be no services and his body will be cremated. Koch Funeral Home in Scio has been entrusted with his arrangements.
