Obituary

Jeffrey Lynn "Jeff" Nichols of Carrollton, passed away suddenly on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital in Canton, just nine days prior to his 60th birthday.

Born March 26, 1965, he was a son of Gaila McLaughlin Hartline of Fort Wayne, Indiana. He graduated from Jewett-Scio High School in 1984, where he played football and basketball. After graduating he attended Pittsburgh Art Institute. He worked in sports marketing for Modell's in Pennsylvania for 20 years before starting his own construction company, JAB Construction, in Carrollton.

Though his life was unexpectedly cut short, Jeffrey left behind a legacy of love, warmth, and cherished memories. He was known for his dedication to his family, friends, and community. He was a member of the Sons of the Scio American Legion Post 482 and was an avid Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes fan.  His vibrant personality and compassionate nature touched the lives of many.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father Alan Covington and stepfathers Terry Nichols and Paul Hartline.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his companion of 8 years, Angie Ross Bowery of the home, a son Conner Nichols of Clarion, PA, stepsons Brock (Jessica) Bowery and Brodie (Kim) Bowery both of Tennessee and Brayden Bowery of the home, step grandchildren Easton, Trinity, Blake, Bayla, Jaxen and Corbyn and a brother Jeramy Nichols of Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Jeff's sudden passing is a profound loss to all who knew him, and he will be deeply missed. His memory will be forever cherished by his loved ones, who will celebrate his life and the indelible mark he left on their hearts. Honoring his wishes, he will be cremated, and a celebration of his life is being planned for a later date. Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to Scio American Legion Post 482, 31875 Crimm Rd, Scio, Ohio 43988. Koch Funeral Home, Scio has been entrusted with his arrangements.
