JoAnn Johnson White, age 86, passed away peacefully Thursday, April 3, 2025, at her home near Perrysville, surrounded by her loving family.

Born January 12, 1939, in Harrison County, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Alva Francis Johnson and Sylvia Willis Henry Johnson. She worked for TRW Metals in Minerva for 5 years but the job she loved most was being a wife, mom and grandma.  She enjoyed watching television, tending to her flowers and going for walks, before her health decline. Joann was also a wonderful cook who was well known for her delicious potato salad that she made with homemade dressing.

JoAnn would have celebrated 49 years of marriage with her husband, Michael Ray White, later this month, on April 23, 2025. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter Rhonda Sue (Wood) Taylor of Toronto, "Maw-Maw" to grandchildren Ryan (Nichole) Taylor, Ronnie (Sarah) Taylor both of Toronto and Vanessa (Chris) Parrish and Heath Wood both of Scio, great grandchildren Mason, Tierra, Trinity, Harley, Ailey, Kylie, Cirsten, Haley, Analeigh and Ava, great-great grandchildren Savannah, Ryan, Lucas and Wyatt, a brother-in-law Wayne (Kay Ann) White of Myrtle Beach, SC, as well as beloved nieces and nephews, including niece Cathy (Bruce) Mills, whom she was especially close.

Preceding JoAnn in death are a son Larry Wood, grandson Derrick Wood, great grandson Christian Wood Taylor, a brothers Robert "Bob" (Barbara) Johnson and Donald Johnson, a sister Ina (Jim) Marks and a nephew Craig.

Services will be held Monday, April 7 at noon in Koch Funeral Home, 101 W Main St, Scio with Rev Ruby Foutz officiating. Friends may call two hours prior to the service from 10 am to noon.
