Joseph 'Joe" E. McPhail, age 55, of Cadiz, passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at Gables Care Center in Hopedale.

Born January 5, 1970, in Point Pleasant, NJ, he was a son of the late Joseph McPhail and Beverly Brown Owens and stepfather Rev. Joshua Owens. He owned and operated a landscaping business in Deltona, Florida until his wife Sandra's passing, then he moved back to Ohio. Joe was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 557 in Wintersville and had enjoyed hunting.

Surviving are his caregiver and friend of the past eleven years, Barbara Majewski, brothers Mike Owens of McDonald, Ohio and Bill Owens of Youngstown, Ohio, stepchildren, as well as his nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, his was preceded in death by his sister Susie Moxley.

Honoring his wishes he will be cremated. Koch Funeral Home, Scio has been entrusted with his arrangements.
