Kim Darlene Davis, age 59, of Scio passed away suddenly Monday, April 27, 2015 at her home.
Born July 6, 1955 in New Philadelphia she was a daughter of the late Vance "Cy" Smith and Agnes Hursey Smith. She graduated from Conotton Valley High School in 1973 and was a project assistant at Test America in North Canton for 20 years.
Kim formerly attended Bowerston United Methodist Church where she had been an adult Sunday school teacher. She was a terrific writer of short stories and was an avid nonfiction reader with Gene Stratton Porter being her favorite writer. She also enjoyed cross-stitching. A caring and giving person, she boxed numerous aid packages for soldiers during Desert Storm and became friends with many of the soldier's mothers. She was an animal lover who especially loved her many cats that she, along with her husband of almost 40 years, Edward C. Davis, considered their family. Ed and Kim met while working at the Scio Pottery and where married on December 24, 1975. Surviving in addition to her husband are he step mother Brenda (Howard) Johnson and two sisters.
Honoring her wishes, she will be cremated with no services. Koch Funeral Home, Scio has been entrusted with her arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Harrison County Humane Society @ http://www.HarrisonCountyHumane.weebly.com/.
