Obituary

Linda Belle (Salisbury) Smallwood, age 82, of 108 Maple Street, Scio died peacefully in her home on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.

She was born February 24, 1944 in Harrison County; a daughter of the late Ernest and Viola Stewart Salisbury.

After graduating high school, she attended the Cosmetology School in Steubenville and received a degree in cosmetology. She worked as a beautician for Blondie’s Beauty Shop in Scio for ten years, then became a stay-at-home mom. After her children were grown, she got a job at the Scio Pottery till they closed. Wanting to continue to help people she became certified as a nurse’s aide and worked at Sunnyslope Care Center in Bowerston.

Linda was a member of the Scio United Methodist Church and also was a member of a bowling league in Jewett during the 1970s. She enjoyed working and taking care of people. She also loved being with her family.

Surviving is a daughter: Lisa Albaugh of Blacklick; a son: Todd Kerschbaumer of Stanley, North Carolina; two grandsons: Roderick (Christina) Olmstead of Blacklick and Brandon Albaugh of Blacklick; two great-grandsons: Bently and Anthony Olmstead; a sister: Tammy Burrell of Dover and her children: Heather, Hallie, and Zach.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sons: Tony, Lee, and Billy Kerschbaumer.

Following Linda’s wishes cremation will take place and there will be no services.
