Martha Elaine Boyd, age 73, of Dillonvale (Smithfield), was tragically taken away from her loving family on Thursday, September 5, 2024.

Born December 31, 1950, in Wheeling, WV she was a daughter of the late Kenneth "Shorty" Fife and Norma Anderson Fife. She graduated from Jewett High School in 1969 and had worked at the Scio Pottery. Martha was known for her ability to play numerous card games, which she enjoyed playing with her family and friends.

Martha leaves behind children Ken Ransom of Florida, Angela "Gidget" Ransom of Scio and Brian Ransom of New Philadelphia; stepchildren Curtis Daniel Boyd, Jr of Arizona and Brandi Boyd of Steubenville; siblings Mary Wymer, Kenneth Fife, Jr, Barbara Sue Gates, Robert Fife and Janice Sproull; fourteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Curtis Boyd and a brother Thomas Fife.

Honoring her wishes she will be cremated. A celebration of her life will be held Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at 5 pm in Hanover Methodist Church with Pastor Vicki Muth officiating. Koch Funeral Home, Scio has been entrusted with her arrangements. www.kochfuneral.com
