Mary Helen Vint, age 54, of Scio, formerly of Sherrodsville, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2026, in Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital, Canton after a brief battle with cancer. Born September 4, 1971, in Dover she was a daughter of the late William “Bill” Vint and Carol Foster Vint.

   Mary was a former member of the Sherrodsville Wesleyan Church. She enjoyed crocheting and diamond dot painting, but what she loved most was spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are her children Joshua (Alyssa) Hidey, Bryan (Victoria) Vint, Natalie (Michael) Slentz and James (Alexis) Hidey; grandchildren Owen, Layla, Kiera, Kaysin, Levi, Kezlynn, Kaylyn, Bryar, Lillian, Aiden, Leah and Oakley; sisters Shelly Vint, Nancy (Rickey) McAfee and Becky (John) Worley as well as numerous nieces and nephews she loved, but she was especially close to Zachery Hidey, Victoria Hidey, Richard (Jessica) McAfee, Abbey Jones, Devin Woods, Parker McAfee, Brady McAfee, Christopher McAfee, Amanda McAfee and Thomas McAfee. She will be missed by her silver lab Jazmine and cats Moe, Joe, Molly and Cali.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter Bryleigh and a niece Jessica McConnell.

Honoring her wishes, she will be cremated and a private graveside service will be held by the family at a later date. Koch Funeral Home, Scio has been entrusted with her arrangements.
