Micheal Thomas Borland, the loving 12 year old son of Joseph and Samantha Basham Borland of Newcomerstown, passed away Friday July 12, 2019 from injuries sustained in a tragic auto accident.

Born on April 30, 2007 in Union Hospital, Dover, Ohio, Micheal would have been starting the 7th grade at Newcomerstown Middle School this fall. He had enjoyed playing Little League Baseball where he earned the nickname "Wheels" for how fast he ran the bases passing his own teammates.  But what he enjoyed most was being outdoors training for Parkour obstacle courses or riding his bike and four-wheeler. He was especially looking forward to riding motocross with his dad and brother someday.

Surviving in addition to his parents is a brother Marcus W. Borland of the home; grandparents Thad and Mary Basham of Newcomerstown and Barbara Borland of Waynesburg; aunts and uncles Danielle (Cory) Allen of Clovis, NM and Larry (Brianne) Borland of Crossville, TN and cousins Sean and Connor Allen and Keeley, Gavin and Bailey Borland.

Micheal was preceded in death by his grandparents Larry and Mary Borland.

Calling hours will be held Saturday July 20th from 12 - 6 pm  in Koch Funeral Home, Scio. Private services will be observed by the family at a later date.
