Mildred "Millie" Irene Neer Anderson, age 84, of Jewett, passed away Monday, March 7, 2016 at Oak Pointe Nursing Home, Baltic, Ohio.

Born November 15, 1931 in Smithfield Station, Ohio she was daughter of the late James Neer and Goldie Pasco Neer. She graduated from Hopedale High School in 1949 and worked for the Jewett Post Office for 30 years retiring in 1997.

Millie was a former member of the Jewett Garden Club who loved working in her flower garden and reading biography's. But most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends.

Surviving are her sons Rev. William Donald (Linda) Anderson of New Philadelphia, John David (Janice) Anderson of Dalton and Richard Willis (Anne) Anderson of Jewett; sisters Betty Bohla of Youngstown, Carol "Sug" Francis of Warren and Patty Armes of Youngstown;; a brother Daniel "buck" Neer of Sharon, PA; four grandsons Matthew (Jessie) Anderson of Johnstown, Marcus (Betsy) Anderson of Lakewood and Todd (Samantha) Anderson of Columbus and Brian (Angela) Anderson of Dalton; a granddaughter Tess Anderson of Columbus; five great grandchildren Grace, Vivian, Evelyn, Luke and Cole and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death are brothers Joseph "Clark",  Merle "Doc" and  infant brother Jimmy Neer and the father of her children William C. Anderson.

Services will be held Thursday at 1 pm in Koch Funeral Home, Scio with Pastor Mark Statler officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Jewett. Friends may call Wednesday from 5-8 pm at the funeral home.
