Penny Sue Schoolcraft Kimmel, age 60, of Scio, passed away Saturday, September 24, 2022 in Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital, Canton.

Born August 30, 1962 in Dennison she was a daughter of the late Gilbert Ray Schoolcraft and Shirley A. Kugler Schoolcraft. Penny graduated from Carrollton High School in 1980 and worked as a nurse's aide many times during her life. But most people in the area will remember her as a cook at multiple area restaurants, including Hugo's, The Restaurant and The Perry Post. She treasured time spent with her family including her two sons, Brian Scott Kimmel and Justin (Amber) Kimmel, grandchildren Dez, Gavin, Brianna, Laney, Jaylyn and Lydia and her sister Sandra (Bob) Manbeck.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Brian Robert Kimmel in 1991 and a brother Jackie Schoolcraft.

Friends may call Wednesday from 12-2 pm at Koch Funeral Home, Scio. Burial will follow the visitation in the Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery in New Rumley. In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made to Koch Funeral Home, PO Box 193, Scio, Ohio 43988 to help with her funeral expenses.
