Robert Fowler, of Scio, Ohio, passed away on July 31, 2026 at the age of 86. He was born on December 17, 1939, and was raised in Scio, Ohio, the son of the late Charles and Ethel Fowler.

Robert was married to the love of his life, Brenda Fowler, for 46 years. Brenda preceded him in death on February 26, 2026.

Robert is survived by his three children: Kim Knight, wife of Robert Knight; Deb Deloach, wife of Glen Deloach; and Mark Fowler, husband of Heidi Fowler.

He was a proud grandfather to Jamie Knight & companion Daniel Herron, Casey Knight & wife Keri Knight, Joey Greene & companion Kim Orne, Brandon Fowler & wife Emily, Tanner Fowler & companion Angie Perez. He was also a loving great-grandfather to Joseph Greene.

Robert cherished his grandchildren and loved being an important part of their lives. He especially enjoyed being there for their Christmas celebrations and attending their sporting events. These moments with his family brought him great joy, and the memories they made together will be treasured forever.

Robert also leaves behind his sister, Carolyn Fowler Boltz, wife of Dan Boltz. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Shirley Fowler Copeland, wife of George Copeland, and Nancy Fowler Goodrich, wife of Donnie Goodrich.

Robert began working part-time at the Scio Pottery while he was still in High school and went to work there full-time in 1960. He remained there until the pottery closed its doors in 1985. During his many years at Scio Pottery, Robert made many lifelong friends, and he had a special friendship with the owner, Dick Reese. His years at the pottery were an important part of his life, and he cherished the memories and friendships he made there.

Some of Robert’s fondest memories came from working on his father’s and grandfather’s farms. He loved spending time at the Tappan Lake farm with his Uncle Myrl Fowler and his wife Pat.

Robert enjoyed watching NASCAR racing, and many Sundays were spent together with family, sharing a good meal and watching the races. He also enjoyed the Scio Street Fair and especially loved attending the car shows.

Above all, Robert will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. His family will forever cherish the memories they shared with him.

Robert’s life was rooted in family, friendship, hard work, and the Scio community he called home. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

No visitation or services are planned. Koch Funeral Home in Scio was entrusted with his cremation arrangements.
