Sharon Sue Ankrom Hale, age 60, of Jewett passed away suddenly Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at Trinity Medical Center West after a brief illness.

Born March 28, 1958 in Dennison she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Beulah Wolfe Ankrom. A Jewett-Scio High School graduate, Sharon recently retired as a cook from Norfolk and Southern Railroad and had worked at Dollar General in Scio.

Sharon was Methodist by faith and enjoyed scrap booking, gardening and quilting. But what she loved most was spending time with her family, especially her grandson.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life William "Bill" Hale on May 18, 2012.

Surviving are her daughter Michelle (Butch) Sheets and grandson Drake Thomas Sheets of Hopedale; a sister Connie Ankrom and adopted sister Gertie Goldsmith both of Maryland; several great aunts, great uncles and cousins, including her cousin Charlie Hoobler of Germano with whom she was especially close.

Honoring her wishes there will be no services or calling hours. Koch Funeral Home, Scio has been entrusted with her arrangements.
