Sylvia L. Trushell Albright, age 84, of Conotton, passed away Thursday, September 12, 2024, at the Carroll County Golden Age Retreat, surrounded by her loving family.

Born March 23, 1940, at the family home in North Twp, Harrison Co., she was a daughter of the late Daniel Trushell, Sr and A. Rosalie Grace Trushell. She graduated from Scio High School in 1958 and worked for a brief time at the Scio Pottery. She then started working as a nurse's aide for area nursing homes and retired from Sunnyslope Nursing Home after more than 10 years of service.

Sylvia was a member of the Scio United Methodist Church and the New Philadelphia Chapter of the Red Hat Society. In her younger years she enjoyed traveling with her siblings. She was a wonderful cook and baker, known for her delicious pies and macaroni salad. Sylvia enjoyed crossword puzzles and loved to play the lottery. Sylvia married Harry J. Albright June 30, 1959, and he preceded her in death November 6, 2016.  Also preceding her in death are sisters Mildred Kraus, Mary Ann Riggs, Sara Case, Thelma DeWire, Marie Case and Elsie Chalmers, a brother-in-law Gib Albright and a great granddaughter Bayli Jay.

Surviving are children Doug (Laurie) Albright of Simpsonville, SC, Jeff Albright of Bowerston and Sharon (Mike) Bocek of Cadiz; grandchildren Caleb (Emily) Burnison, Derek (Kelly) Albright, Sheena (James) Matthews, Josiah Albright, Ryan (Kirstie) Albright, Ashley (Bubby) Huffman, Brittany Cunningham and Michael (Amanda) Bocek, siblings Freeda (Kenny) Shultz, Danny (Hazel) Trushell and Paul (Martha) Trushell, sisters-in-law Audrey Stull and Connie (Rex) Felgenhauer, as well as numerous great grandchildren and her favorite grand dog Freckles.

Services will be held Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at 11 am in Scio United Methodist Church, 117 Maple St, Scio. Burial will follow in Conotton Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday September 17th from 5-8 pm in Koch Funeral Home, 101 W Main St, Scio. www.kochfuneral.com
