Thomas Wayne "Thom" Curtis, age 67, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2024, at his home in New Rumley surrounded by his loving family.

Born July 15, 1956, in Weston, West Virginia, he was a son the late Dana M. Curtis, Sr. and Agnes Lattea Sidwell. He worked for many years as a communication technician and then went to work for Smith Evergreen Nursery for almost 20 years, where he was affectionately known as Uncle Thom.

Thom enjoyed being outside, whether it was landscaping or working in his multiple gardens. After retiring he started cutting his own lumber on his sawmill. He built several buildings on his property. What he enjoyed most was riding his motorcycles, especially his Harley. '

Thom married Holly Hawley Curtis on August 5, 1977, and they were blessed with a son Harley Jacob (Susan) Curtis, a daughter Sonya Lea (Brian) Blythin and grandchildren Talena Curtis, Elizabeth Blythin, Trenton Curtis and Trace Curtis. He is also survived by a brother Dana Curtis, Jr and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother Roger A Curtis.

The family is planning a celebration of his life later this summer at their home. Koch Funeral Home, Scio has been entrusted with his arrangements.
