William Dean “Will” Saylor, age 46, of Jewett, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville.
Born February 6, 1979, in Bell County, Kentucky he was a son of James Curtis Saylor and the late Delores Ann Blankenship Reynolds.
Will worked for WC Cardinal, Freeport Press, Hydraulic Specialist, Hopedale Mining and Subway/Circle K in Scio. Clendening Lake was his favorite place to fish, and he enjoyed exploring the local area, finding the beauty in nature. Fallout 76 was one of his favorite video games. He enjoyed teaching his kids how to play and just spending time with them.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his children Kendra Kessler of Jewett and Emily and Evan Saylor both of Cadiz, his best friend Vicky Lambert, with whom he resided, his stepfather Larry Austin of Freeport, his siblings Ivar “George” Perkins, Robert Perkins, Nancy Perkins, Holly Saylor, Jimmy McAfee, Rebecca Saylor, Jim Saylor and Gladys Saylor, the mothers of his children Randi Moore of Jewett and Crystal Beckett of Cadiz, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
A visitation with the family celebrating his life will be held Friday, December 19, 2025, from 5-7 pm at Koch Funeral Home, 101 W Main St, Scio, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to Koch Funeral Home, PO Box 193, Scio, Ohio 43988, or on the funeral home website, to help with his funeral expenses.
