Obituary

Edith Wagner , 88 of Scio Ohio , passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at Emerald Pointe Rehab and Nursing, Barnesville ,Ohio.

Edith was born on June 18, 1931 in Wileyville, WV,  she was the daughter of Friend H. West and Mary Jane Anderson West.   She was a 1950 graduate of Magnolia HS, New Martinsville WV .  She retired  as the  office manager for DR. Robert Bridgeman DDS in 1980. 

Edith was a member of the Scio American Legion Auxiliary Post 482, where she was a past office holder.  She was a member of Hanover United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.  She served on the Board of the Harrison Community Hospital and was a volunteer at Twin City Hospital in Dennison. 

Edith was proceeded in death by her husband of 37 years, William "Bill" Wagner, and 7 siblings.   Edith is survived by 4 step-daughters, 7 grandchildren,  6 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service celebrating her life will be held Saturday, February 22, 2020 at 1:00 pm in Hanover United Methodist Church, 87960 Havonik Rd. Scio with Pastor Vicki Muth officiating and a reception will follow the service in the church basement. Friends may call prior to the service from 11 am to 1 pm at the church.  In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to Hanover United Methodist Church c/o Jerry Valdinger 36880 Gundy Ridge Rd, Scio, Ohio 43988. Koch Funeral Home, Scio has been entrusted with her arrangements.
