Fred was a member of the Bethel Methodist Church near Jewett and the Cadiz American Legion Post 34 where he was a devoted member of their honor guard. He was also one of the last surviving charter members of the Jewett Sportsman’s Club and enjoyed doing anything outdoors. More recently he enjoyed his mornings with the McDonalds coffee crew in Cadiz. But what he loved most was the time he spent with his family.

Dan’s family includes a son Cody (Courtney) Maffitt and his children Dominic and Paige, and a daughter Alison Birney and her daughters Baylee and Serena, and stepdaughters Paula Moreland and Brandy Tanner.
