Mary Ellen Kelley, age 66, of 632 Countryside Lane, Apartment 301, Cadiz passed away suddenly in her home 7:28 a.m., Friday, June 30, 2023.
She was born August 17, 1956 in Steubenville, Ohio; a daughter of the late Kenneth L. Ray and Mary Matima Davia Ray.
Mary graduated from Cadiz High School in 1974. She was employed by the Scio Pottery for several years. Mary’s favorite pastime was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She could often be seen at a softball or baseball field wearing her favorite player’s number on her shirt. She was immensely proud of her family and their accomplishments. She will be missed terribly.
Surviving is her husband of 37 years, Frederick William Kelley, of Cadiz. They were married in May of 1984.
Also surviving are two sons: Brandon (Lexi) Kelley of Canton and Cameron (Amy) Kelley of Sherrodsville; two step-children: Jim (Debbie) Kelley of Harlem Springs and Shawn (Bob) Finnegan of Pennsylvania; six grandchildren: Madison, Brooklyn, Branson, Kason, Quinn, and Colt Kelley; two step-grandchildren: Niki (Jason) Stutz and Jessica Nelson; two step great-grandchildren: Kenton Stutz and Rowan Stutz; four siblings: and Cheryl (Bud) Ridgeway of Cadiz, Kenny (Toni) Ray of Barton, WV, Rick Ray of Cadiz, and Jeff (Tina) Ray of Cadiz.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two siblings: William Weaver and Gary Weaver.
Visitation and Services will be held in Koch Funeral Home in Scio on Wednesday, July 5, 2023. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The service will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Michael Ward from Springdale Friends Church officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Colerain.
