Patricia "Leah" Hamilton
Leah Hamilton 34, of Scio was called home to dwell with the angels on Thurs. Oct. 5th, 2023, at UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh PA., after a hard-fought battle with heart disease. Leah was born on July 26, 1989, in Canton, Ohio. Leah attended Carrollton High School and BJVS.
Leah was a flagger by trade having previously worked at Pinnacle and most recently at AWP. Leah's world revolved around her two sons.
She enjoyed all things outdoors including yard work, pool upkeep, car maintenance, riding 4 wheelers, swimming, fishing, kayaking, boating, and most of all her sons' football games. Leah loved many genres of music, she also enjoyed many different arts and crafts, and could always be found with her "faithful baby dog, River" at her side.
Leah is survived by her two sons, Brian "Brody" Kinsey, 14, of Minerva and Wesley Burcaw, 12, of Scio, her parents Steve and Anna Bates of Scio and Donald Hamilton of Salineville, one brother, Donnie Hamilton of Scio and sisters, Jessica Hamilton of Alliance, Melissa (Bruce) Leach of Midvale, Abby Motz and Haylee Hamilton of Carrollton, Aunt Rachel and Uncle Mark Bates of Carrollton, Aunt Jean Van Horne of Scio, Aunt Melanie Critchfield of Carrollton, and Uncle Steve Keim of North Canton, four nephews, seven nieces, and many cousins and friends.
Leah was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Joe and Alice Smith and paternal grandparents, John and Violet Hamilton, a stepmother Lora Raffle, a brother Cody Bates, and step grandmother Ruby Rowan.
Calling hours will be on Friday, October 13, 2023, from 1:30pm-3:30pm at the Koch Funeral Home, 101 W. Main St. Scio Ohio 43988 with a Prayer service at 3:30pm. A private family grave side service will be held at St Patrick's Cemetery in Salineville.
