Vivian Elaine Thompson
Vivian Elaine Thompson, age 89, passed away Friday, April 23, 2021 at her home in Canton surrounded by her loving family.
Born June 30, 1931 in Bowerston she was a daughter of the late Charles Albaugh and Wilma Kail Albaugh. She graduated from Scio High School in 1949 and worked for Harter Bank (Society Bank) in Canton for 16 years.
Vivian was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Otterbein United Methodist Church both of Canton. An avid reader and impeccable homemaker, Vivian embraced social media that allowed her to stay in touch with her family. She loved starting each day watching her video photo album that she shared with her family.
Surviving are a son Jeffery (Connie) Thompson of Westminster, MD; daughters Joyce (Chuck) Veppert of Rootstown and Jennifer (Guy) Woit of Salem; grandchildren Jason (Lisa), Chris (Becky), Sarah (Tom), Michael, Courtney (Mike), Christopher and Shelby; ten great grandchildren and a sister Nancy Chovan of Canton.
Preceding her in death is her oldest son Jerome Thompson, “husband” Jerry “JJ’ Thompson, siblings Charlotte Gutensohn, Mae Marie McGinnis, Charles Albaugh and Patricia Pachmyer.
A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Koch Funeral Home, Scio has been entrusted with her arrangements.
