Shirley Anne Strausbaugh Watson, age 80, formerly of Jewett, passed away Friday, August 11, 2017 in Country Club Retirement Center, Dover.
Born November 10, 1936 in Jewett she was a daughter of the late Benjamin C. Goodrich and Anna I Keyser Goodrich. She graduated from Jewett High School and worked as a medical lab technician most of her life.
Shirley was a member of the Roxford Church near Roswell. She was well known in the area for making delicious bread and for making Christmas wreaths from yarn that she enjoyed giving to her family and friends. But what she loved most was just spending time with her family.
Surviving are her children Robert Strausbaugh of Dover and Dianna (David) Meechan of Bowerston, a grandson HN3 Surgical Tech Jesse Meechan, siblings Gloria Jean Bernhardt of Scio and Donald Goodrich of Canton and numerous nieces and nephews.
Shirley was preceded in death by the father of her children Carl Strausbaugh, a grandson Jeffery, siblings William Glen, Carl, and Charles Goodrich, Georgia Louise Faver, Dixie Foster and a stillborn sister Cora Betty Goodrich.
Services will be held Friday at 1 pm in Koch Funeral Home, Scio with Rev. Henry Mooney officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Jewett.
